Westminster Cheddar

Over 500 years ago, the village of Cheddar (in the English county of Somerset) was the birthplace of a very special product that has since gone on to become the world’s biggest selling cheese.

Westminster™ Aged English Cheddar is made on the farm, a few miles from that village where it all began. Crafted by hand and graded three times prior to selection, so you can be sure that only the best, most consistent product reaches the shelves in perfect condition. Westminster™ is made using milk from grass-fed cows, free from any growth hormones, RBST or RBGH. There are five varieties of Westminster™ to choose from:

Aged over 15 months, this strong and powerful cheese will satisfy even the most demanding Cheddar fan. Salt crystals form naturally, giving a distinctive texture that is balanced with a hint of creaminess.

Aged for over 10 months, this is the definitive farmhouse Cheddar. It is wonderfully smooth with hints of natural pasture. Carries the PDO symbol for West Country Farmhouse Cheddar.

Aged over 12 months, this is a creamy smooth cheese with a tangy bite. A well-balanced and delicious Cheddar.

Aged over 3 months, our mild Cheddar has a closed structure and firm body. It is beautifully buttery with a creamy, smooth finish.

Aged for over 6 months and then naturally smoked over English oak chips to give a subtle smokey flavour that compliments the creamy sharp cheddar.
